OTOM software is a spin-off developed through EU ambliFibre project as the adaptive model-based control for laser-assisted fiber-reinforced tape winding of composite pipes and vessels.  It was the first software design, implementation, and validation within the project ambliFibre (H2020-EU). OTOM resolved several challenges and proposed new techniques to solve industrial and research questions as summarized below:

Challenges:

  • Predicting temperature distribution within laser-assisted composite production processes in real-time (millisecond response)
  • Remote access to experiments for validations
  • Integration of model for inline monitoring
  • Discussion of production challenges with industrial partners

The program was further developed through the years to become a standalone application for industrial challenges. We are serving the best solution for offline simulation and optimization and inline simulation monitoring control in order to prevent costly trial and error steps in LATW/LATP production
