OTOM CFD: simulations rendered in Blender

OTOM CFD runs 2D and 3D fluid simulations on the GPU, directly in the browser. Any run can be recorded (“Record for Offline Render”) and rendered photoreal in Blender Cycles: the clips below are exactly that, from the demo scenes that ship with the tool.

Highlight reelCylinder wake, greenhouse ventilation, a spinning propeller, quadcopter downwash, a hand-drawn duct and a gas-sparged stirred tank (66 s).

Clips

Cylinder Wake with Glowing TracersA long recirculation bubble (dark blue) behind the cylinder, starting to meander downstream.
Greenhouse (Top View)Two greenhouse blocks seen from above, with gaps (vents) in their walls.
PropellerA spinning propeller in an axial flow; its blade-tip vortices wrap into a helix downstream.
Quadcopter DownwashAn imported quadcopter with four actuator-disk rotors (cyan arrows mark the rotors).
Hand-drawn Pipe (Control Volume)A pipe of any shape drawn with the brush: everything outside the drawing is wall.
Stirred Tank with Gas SpargerGas bubbles released at a ring sparger under the lower impeller rise, are swirled by the impellers and burst at the liquid surface.
