Inline Monitoring
Inline monitoring simulation through OTOM V.1.08 and TwinCAT XAE — adjusting process conditions in real time for the LATW/LATP process.
OTOM software can monitor and adjust the appropriate process conditions for the best outcome in a feedback-loop control.
The collaboration with PLC software for transferring data via ADS communication — a secure and fast portal — makes an inline monitoring solution for the LATW/LATP process possible in a fraction of a millisecond. The method can run as two standalone packages: GUI mode and Batch mode. With OTOM Batch, the interaction between the data-mining algorithm and the simulation tool is created; it can be used as an external application by a third party, with inputs and outputs exchanged via .txt file or third-party application for direct access to simulation model data.
It is also possible to transfer data within OTOM to the PLC software (TwinCAT) via ADS communication, as presented here. The approach was tested successfully in the OTOM Composite center and provided within OTOM GUI V.1.08. In this video, a user enters the names of variables in both OTOM and TwinCAT and monitors randomly generated velocity and power inputs alongside calculated temperature outputs of the tape and substrate.
